Nicole has a strong background in corporate development and financial management. She has been working in community and economic development for 13 years and has extensive experience leading organisations and people. Nicole’s strong sense of community and family is reflected in her leadership decisions.
Leon is a descendant of the Gunganghi people of Yarrabah. Leon’s previous role includes serving as the Chief Executive Officer in the local government sector and he has over 15 years of executive management experience. He has also been involved in planning scheme development, economic planning, native title negotiations, advocacy and coaching.
Leon is currently working with Community Enterprises Queensland (QEC) in a Stakeholder Engagement role.
Kenny is a traditional owner from the Meuram Clan of Erub in the Torres Strait. Kenny has continually served his community in many roles over the past 20 years. Since 2006, he has been a member of the Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA) and has served as the Deputy Mayor for the Torres Strait Island Regional Council. Kenny has supported the development of traditional and commercial fisheries over the past two decades. As a Director of Reconciliation Australia, Kenny has championed the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and as a strong advocate, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the COE strategic team
Gary’s human services experience began in 1975, and he commenced with the My Pathway group in 2000. Gary was appointed General Manager in 2001 and a Director in 2006 as he guided the business expansion.
