Nicole built a career in hospitality and event management, becoming a champion of customer-focused cultures. Her specialist skills in people development and project management proved valuable when she came to work alongside her father, who founded an employment services business more than 25 years ago.
Nicole is a passionate entrepreneur, certain of the organisation’s future success. Her proudest achievements include evolving the family business, achieving the Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation and assisting more than 16,000 Indigenous people into employment. She is motivated by supporting communities to share their local voice and create better futures.
Rob was appointed as a director of the COE board in 2021, taking the lead on stakeholder engagement and establishing new businesses to enhance employment and training services for Indigenous Australians.
Rob is trade qualified, bringing practical experience and understanding of the issues impacting employees, apprentices and their employers. He has worked for Group Training Organisations, focused on establishing effective partnerships between industry, employers, community and government stakeholders.
Rob is committed to innovating development solutions for some of Australia’s most remote communities. He applies this passion through management of Community Owned Enterprises, the Community Development Programme (CDP), NDIS, Community Justice Group Program, EMG Workforce and Community Apprenticeships Australia, and through developing our organisation’s workforce development strategies.
Kenny is a Traditional Owner from the Meuram Clan of Erub in the Torres Strait Islands. During the past two decades he has been integral in developing traditional and commercial fisheries and held many community-based roles. Since 2006, he has been a member of the Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA) and previously served as the Deputy Mayor for Torres Strait Island Regional Council.
Kenny is dedicated to supporting the development and growth of communities where he enjoyed his younger years.
As a Director at Reconciliation Australia and a member of the NAIDOC committee, Kenny has championed the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and as a strong advocate, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the COE strategic team.
